Difference between documents and goods
Swiss Post distinguishes between documents, small goods (up to 2 kg) and goods when sending them abroad. The form you require depends on the weight, size and value of the goods. The forms can only be filled out online:

Note: You need a customer login for the waybill. Please send an e-mail to logistik@services.ethz.ch asking us to open an account for you.
Existing postal account
Please note that we can only create a customer login for the waybill if there is no other postal account under the e-mail address you have given us.
Should this be so, you need to either supply us with a different ETH e-mail address or have Swiss Post delete the postal account that you set up yourself. As soon as you receive confirmation from Swiss Post, please send it to us by e-mail. We can then create your ETH customer login for the waybill.

*Examples of documents:

Written, signed or printed communications and information, e.g. contracts, personal communications and invoices.
- Only documents that are considered correspondence.
- A folder filled with documents.
- The items may not include any goods.
**Examples of goods:
- Documents heavier than 2 kg
- A book
- An empty folder without contents
- A letter containing a promotional pen

Below you will find step-by-step instructions on how to create customs declarations or a waybill.
Tracking and tracing are only possible if the small consignments are sent abroad by registered mail.
Complex consignments or exports to foreign countries
Our external specialists will be happy to assist you with complex shipments or exports (e.g. delicate machinery, exhibition equipment, temporary exports or consignments weighing more than 30 kg). Please do not select the following option when completing the accompanying documents!
Please note that it is not possible for us in Logistics to process this type of form. If you select this option, you must hand in your consignment directly at a post office.
